CELLULAR JAIL
The Cellular Jail (also known as Kālā Pānī, literally 'Black water', a term for the deep sea and hence exile) situated in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands (India) was completed in 1906. The prison was known to house many notable Indian activists during the struggle for India's independence.

The Cellular Jail in Port Blair is symbolic of the hardships faced by the Indians in their endeavor to attain freedom from their colonial rulers. The jail became infamous throughout the world for the inhuman treatment meted out to the inmates by the jail officials. This monument stands and reflects the tenacity of the Indians, who were struggling to attain freedom from the shackles of the British rule.



ANDAMAN WATER SPORTS COMPLEX

This unique complex offers all possible aqua-sport facilities like Water-skiing, Sail boats, Windsurfing, Speed Boats etc., and safe water sports like Paddle Boats, Row Boats etc. There is a sea water swimming pool and a change room. There is also a Memorial for the Battle of Aberdeen fought between Britishers and Andamanee aboriginals in 1859.






MARINA PARK

Just adjacent to the Water Sports Complex right on the seashore is the marina amusement park offering rides for children and adults alike: giant wheels, paratrooper and dragon coaster and toy train..There is also a miniature botanical garden and a statue of Netaji Subash chandra Bose here.This park, has amusement rides, children's traffic park




GANDHI PARK

Laid in record time in the heart of Port Blair, it is an enticing park comprising of a children's park, amusement park, deer park, water sports facilities, Japanese temple, nature walk and a restaurant.

This beautiful park at Port Blair has facilities like amusement rides, safe water sports, nature trail around the lake, garden, restaurant and historic remains like Japanese Temple as well as a bunker. The erstwhile Dilthaman tank, which was the only source of drinking water to Port Blair, and the area around it has been developed into Gandhi Park in an unbelievably short time of 13 days











CORBYN'S COVE TOURISM COMPLEX

Corbyn's Cove, 7 Kms., from the town, is the coconut palm fringed beach, ideal for swimming, surfing and sun basking. Facilities like water sports, restaurant and bar, change room, etc., are also available.










ANDAMAN MINI ZOO

Mini Zoo, as the name suggests, is a small zoo situated at Haddo in Andaman and Nicobar Islands. The Zoo is famed to popularity mainly due to its Crocodile breeding program. The breeded crocodiles can be spotted in the wild waters surrounded by dense green forests. 

The Zoo is credited with about 200 species of birds and animals. All common birds and animals are allowed to live in this zoo. Andaman pig and Nicobar pigeon are two rare species of animals which can be spotted here. 




ANTHROPOLOGICAL MUSEUM


This museum is located at Middle Point (previously at Phoenix Bay),This museum depicts the life of the Paleolithic Islanders. It showcases wide collection of tools and weapons used by Anadamanese tribes. This also encloses many photographs of different tribes and aborigines of Andaman and Nicobar Islands. 

A great treasure of Island history, a well maintained library, functions on the top of the museum. Many films depicting the life and culture of the Andaman are also preserved here. The Museum authorities arrange few documentary and film shows for the visitors of the museum.



FISHERIES MUSEUM

Situated near Andaman Water Sports Complex, it exhibits species of marine life peculiar to the islands and found in the Indo-Pacific and the Bay of Bengal. Monday and holidays closed.

SAMUDRIKA (Naval Marine Museum)

Situated near Teal House, at Port Blair, set up to create awareness on various aspects of oceanic environment. A good collection of shells, corals, fishes and a few species are on display.






ZOOLOGICAL SURVEY OF INDIA MUSEUM

Situated near the Andaman Teal House, Delanipur, the Zoological Survey of India Museum and research library exhibit a good variety of sponges, corals, butterflies, centipedes, etc. Open on all working days.



CHATHAM ISLAND & FOREST MUSEUM

The Chatham Saw Mill, one of the oldest and largest mills in Asia, built on a tiny island, is connected to Port Blair by a bridge.  It is a store house of timber like Padauk, Gurjan, Marble, Satin Wood etc.  The island has the second largest whart of these islands, where Island – mainland ships can berth.
 
Forest Museum Situated in Chatham, Port Blair, this museum offers an insight into foresty activities and displays decorative pieces made of Padauk, Marble, Peauma, Gurjan, Satin Wood etc. open all working days.




SAGARIKA EMPORIUM


The Emporium is in the heart of Port Blair ,Cottage Industries Emporium and Khadi and Gram Udyog Emporium display some of the rare shell-crafts, wood-crafts, cane and bamboo work, etc. Open on all working days.
